YAM 2013

It's Time for YAM!

Youth Arts Month or YAM is under way. Come see artwork from the Irving and other participating BPS schools at this amazing and diverse art exhibition now up at the Boston City Hall building. The opening reception is Monday, April 1st. 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The exhbition will be on display from April 1st, 2013 to April 27th, 2013.

Can't make it to the opening reception? Below are the 20 artworks from Mr. Dracup's and Ms. Pierce's art class that made it to city hall . Enjoy the exhibition and congratulations to those artists that were selected!!!

Each year, this district-wide art exhibition shares exemplary artwork created by BPS students with the thousands of employees and visitors who pass through Boston City Hall every day.  The 2013 exhibition will serve as the culmination of the district’s participation in the national Youth Art Month awareness campaign.  During the month of March, art teachers are invited to highlight their students in unique ways throughout their school communities, as a way to increase awareness of their programs.  The City Hall exhibition will bring these programs together at the end of the month, to art in BPS as a whole.
